Babuebaby Carriers are for parents (both working and stay-at-home) who have little children but need to complete day-to-day chores on limited time. Babuebaby Carriers are soft structures baby carriers that have been engineered to distribute weight around the torso and hips. Unlike other carrier manufacturers, Babuebaby Carriers eliminate weight through the shoulders. They are also stylish and versatile.

Letter to Boostrs

I was born and raised in Zimbabwe where babywearing is taught from a young age. Once my youngest one, Aaron, turned a year old I struggled with the carrier options on the market. I don’t know about you, but our household is pretty busy. I needed a carrier that would support my functional needs: being able to carry my child as I run errands, cooking right after work and cleaning up without missing on bonding with my son. So drawing from my culture and experience as a full-time Occupational Therapist, I created and designed my carrier for families of all cultures and for children of varying needs. Let me introduce you to Babuebaby!

These carriers are engineered specifically to ensure that pressure is offloaded from shoulder joints and is evenly distributed around the torso and pelvis – the hip joint is a much more stable load-bearing joint. This technique ensures joint health.

Ultimate goal: To be able to remain connected with your baby while at the same time be able to successfully navigate your day.

WHY IS A BABUEBABY CARRIER MORE NATURAL?

Babuebaby Carriers are specially designed to provide healthy musculoskeletal system stability for children and caregivers, improving quality of life and well-being of children and parents.

Our carriers utilize the much-more stable joints of the hips through torso,  reducing stress on joints with decreased stability like shoulders, which are also more prone to injury. We use an evidence-based approach and strategies that help maintain musculoskeletal health in caregivers so they will be less impacted by joint pain as they age.

HOW TO WEAR A BABUEBABY CARRIER

Back Carry with a Helper

  1. Buckle the waist band around your hips and tighten by pulling until it won’t slip.
  2. Center the carrier on your back.
  3. Have your helper put baby on the back.
  4. Bring the panel up over the child, ensure the lateral straps are out of the way. Allow the child to sit comfortably into the carrier with the shoulder straps over your shoulders and helper supporting baby.
  5. Have shoulder straps come forward up over your shoulders, and make an X on the chest to cross the straps over to opposite side.
  6. Bring the straps down past your hips and under child’s legs, around your back making sure the lateral straps are out of the way. Tie a double knot in back or tie off in front if the straps are too long.
  7. Take each buckle for the lateral support and clip it across your chest bone, tighten the anterior straps so it doesn’t slip.
  8. Bring your baby closer to you by pulling the posterior straps on the lateral support.
  9. To get your child off your back, lean forward & undo the knot. Hold the child & switch hands to get inside the carrier to support them. Drop the panel and scoot your child around your side to your front.
